Yesterday we sailed Endicott Arm Fjord to the Dawes Glacier. Stunning scenery, the fjord walls rising to dramatic heights and the water was almost jade green and full of icebergs. Captain navigated the ship through the icebergs; just like threading a 700″ needle to within a couple hundred yards of the icy blue face of Dawes Glacier. The sound of the ice popping and cracking was a loud symphony set off by a thunderous boom as a chunk fell of the face and splashed into the sea! June is baby seal pup time and they take refuge on the icebergs. Too cute. Regarding that first pic iceberg off the port side bow – we’ve all seen how this movie ends, right!
